I almost forgot...
to tell you all about the overnight crop! It was FANTASTIC!! I got so many pages done. I'm sad because I turned in my
Circle Journal without copying the page I made. Oh well, it was really nice (if I do say so myself...and I do!)
At least I have everything else I did. A lot of these don't have the journaling because I didn't want to waste precious
scrap time on something I could do at home. Others are fully finished. I'll put a note next to the ones that need journaling...some
are more obvious than others.
This is Danny and his family when he was little. I obtained these photos from a small photo album his mother made for him.
If you lift the bottom picture, you will see the notes she put with it. That way, the journaling is in his mother's handwriting.
I soo scraplifted this from a Hero Arts stamp book. I had to make some modifications and my sewing isn't exactly straight,
but I love this page. Not to mention the fact that I couldn't have come out with this layout in a million years. Look at my
Puddin'! Isn't she gorgeous!!
So, I was going crazy with the circles from the last layout (Cirel's giggly) and I was inspired to make a page of me and my
best friends.
Simple, but effective. This picture is of a very pregnant me on our second anniversary. The tag says, "Forever".
I was taking a walk on the wild side with this page. I had this great picture that was so expressive and I had no idea what
to do with it. Luckily, we had lots of experts at the crop and I asked what I should do with it. This was the idea and I adore
it. This pic is missing the journaling. I plan to write along the edge of the yellow circle.
This is another layout missing the journaling. I need to do some research on the web to finish it. A long time ago in a land
far, far away (I think it's called Tennessee), I used to work at the Nursery Crop Research Station. Everytime lunch would
come around, I would go out to this tree and eat with just the wind blowing and the radio playing. This tree is supposedly
on the Trail of Tears and lots of Cherokee women allegedly gave birth in it's shade. Oh well...
This layout is finished. It is a nod to a part of our family's heritage. Somewhere down the line we have a Chinese ancestor.
There are quite a few more pages, but they are not completely put together or they are in my personal scrapbook (one
of these days I will post it.). So, enjoy the pics. I hope you like them...better yet, I hope they can inspire you.
P.S. Erica's surgery has been moved to Friday.

Brag time
I got pictures!!!
Here's Carie with her brand new babies. Doesn't she look fabulous for someone out of surgery! Way to go Carie!!
Here's the proud Papa. Congrats, Mike.
Avery Grayce (Mike and Carie are soo good at naming babies) :)
Jaylen Michael (see what I mean about those names)
There's a tradition in our family with boys names. Instead of calling the son Junior, we pass down the father's first
name as a middle name. So hundreds of years from now when Jaylen decides to procreate, he might name his son ______ Jaylen.
Aren't my new babies BEAUTIFUL?!
Okay, on to some more personal bragging.
- Karate is kick-ass. I can't wait until Monday to do it again.
- I met with the Head of the Nutrition department and we came up with a viable school plan.
- I registered for school!
That's it. I think. Oh yeah, tonight is over-night crop. You jealous?

Squee!!!
I'm a new Auntie! Well, I'm an old Auntie...but you know what I mean.
The twins were brought into this world through C-section this afternoon. On to the stats...pictures as soon as someone
deems me worthy of having them. ;)
The 1st baby weighed in at 5lbs 4oz at 2:00pm. His name is Jaylen Michael. The 2nd baby weighed
in at 6lbs 13oz at 2:01pm. Her name is Avery Grace.
Welcome to the world little ones, glad you could make it. Rest up, Momma, you're gonna need it.

Fabu, darlin'
Last night we bought this TV. It's a very nice tv and it only cost $219 at the World of Wal. I'm excited for tomorrow to come. I have all the
tax information I need to file it online. (I'm waiting for tomorrow because free file will be avaliable then...unless of course you are rich, then you have to pay)
Oh yeah, I also have a meeting with the head of the Nutrition dept at the school. We are going to talk about what classes
I should take for my second bachelors. God, I love school.
Cirel is home sick with a little sniffle. She should be right as rain in the morning.

Growing
This is Cirel's carseat. I've just adjusted it for the very last time. She has grown so fast. She'll be four
this year. I'll be sure to make up a sappy montage on her birthday. The only change left involves removing the 5-point harness
and using it as a booster seat. *sigh* My baby.

Theme: Changes
I keep getting back Christmas cards I sent. That makes me a little sad. It's my fault of course. I didn't have
everyone's address right. Oh well, I suppose there is always next year.
Karate starts tonight. I am excited and I can't wait to kick and punch my way to exhaustion. (Insert your own dirty joke
here)
Friday was the beginning of a Circle Journal (A themed album that is passed throughout a group of people, each person
completing a page/layout in the album before passing it to the next person) for me.
I have received my first book and the subject is Changes. So many things in my life have changed and it's really hard
to pinpoint one thing. Maybe because I just want to spill my guts about everything that has ever changed for me, or maybe
I don't feel interesting enough. I don't know. What change in your life would you most want people to know about?
Anyway, if I come up with something good, I will make a scan of it. Luckily, this journal is 8X8. For those who don't
understand, it means I don't have to cover a large piece of paper.
FYI SCRAPPERS: I got one of those Columbia house offers where they put in a sticker sheet of the movies and music they
offer and it occurred to me that they would make excellent embellishments for a page. :)

I call the January Meeting to Order
Here's a list of the new business:
1. I start Karate classes (woot, woot!)
2. My sister-in-law is going to have her twins some time this month (it's a boy and a girl).
3. My sister is going to have open-heart surgery to repair her Mitral Valve. (My mom had the surgery in 2003, only they had to replace the valve for her). Everybody say a prayer and think wonderful
thoughts for a speedy recovery.
4. I have a counseling appointment at the university. We are going to see how much of my degree transfers to WSU.
5. I am going to my very first overnight crop!
6. My niece's fourth birthday is on the 11th. Happy Birthday, Taryn!
