Performance propellers is a sister company of CDI Cruising Design INC. CDI is a premier manufacturer of sail furling
systems for your jib, mail sail, and cruising spinnaker.
We started about 25 years ago supplying propellers for the Atomic
4 powered boats. Other sizes were developed as the diesel engine became more popular. When the new diesel engines started
to replace the atomic 4 It was discovered that The boats were being under propped due to lack of space needed for the larger
props the geared diesel engine required.
The extendo propeller was developed to be able to replace the undersized props
without extensive modifications to the propeller drive train or the hull.
