Fly away my little bird
Far and deep into the horizon.
Til only a speckle in my eye
Just like
a sailing mizen.
Someday you will return
Wiser and much stronger.
So for now I set you free
I will cling to you
no longer.
Your eyes will always mirror mine.
Your heart will beat feriously.
Your wings will long to wrap me close
Until
at last, you return to me.
Already I gaze into the sky,
As I whisper out your song.
Your scent already fills my senses
You
will realize where you belong.
As the horizons colors change,
Within my heart remains a burning.
So spread your wings,
my little bird
For your return I now am yearning!
