Salvation...Saved...Born-Again...What did all of
this mean? I knew that I needed to be born-again but what I needed most was a good kick in the butt to get me started.
I had always liked to read God's Word and I was very knowledgeable
about the things of God but I had left Him for 15 years and just couldn't seem to get started on the road back to Him.
What finally happened was a combination of events that turned me around.
1. My wife had gotten saved. After all those years she took the step.
2. The Gulf War had started and I was sure that this was prophecy being fulfilled.
3. My grandfather was in the hospital for months at a time and I was
feeling my
mortality.
4. The Holy Spirit was putting me under conviction...BIG TIME!
So, I finally decided to come back to the Lord. It was a big step
for me but one I had to take. I promised the Lord I would never, ever, EVER, EVER, ever leave Him again. I have held to that
promise all these years.
Here's my advice to you my friend...do what it takes to be saved.
