As many of you know Kevin Bacon is a movie star. He has starred
in many good movies. A student at the University of Virginia (Brett Tjaden) discovered something very interesting. It's
called a "Bacon" number. Here's how it works...
Bacon himself has a "Bacon Number" of "0".
Anyone who starred in a Kevin Bacon movie has a
Anyone who was in a movie with someone ELSE who was in a Kevin
Bacon movie has a "Bacon Number" of 2.
The trick is to find someone with a Bacon Number of 7. Go
to the website and type in all those weird, obsolete, has been movie stars you can think of and you'll be surprised to find that MOST of them have a "Bacon Number" of 2 or 3. Give it a try. I typed in "Pinky Lee"
and he actually got a Bacon Number of 3. I was shocked. Surely PINKY LEE would have been a 7.
So here's what you do click on the "Oracle of Bacon" to get started and when you get to the University
of Virginia's Bacon area go ahead and type in a movie star...ANY MOVIE STAR. You'll be shocked when you find out how this
