a NEW YEAR 2009 !
This spring I will be helping with a community art project that will involve students from 7 or 8 schools in Barstow and the surrounding area. We will be studying the ice age and what the Mojave would have been like. We will also study the animals; what the ate, how they lived,  etc. The students will be making clay models for a di-o-rama for the Desert Discovery Center. Then they will execute a mural for the back of the Antique Mall.

In the fall I hope to do a mural about the mining in the Mojave. It will be 1/3 of the whole project projected to take 2 years a will apear on the side of the Union Bank.

The Road To Nowhere...

Planned for the side of the TX BBQ 208 E. Main St

To some people, taking the train through the desert southwest was like "the train to nowhere". The vast expanses of openness and the heat of the desert sun combined to keep away all but the most adventurous. To those, it was the road to the "promised land"; a new start, a path to fortune, a conduit to the Golden State and the land of milk and honey. Some came and stayed here, at the crossroads in the desert.
