One of my cats is sitting next to a cheap dollar store Santa holding a piece from an old broken candle ring.

The rest of the broken candle ring was completely broke up and used as filler in a mantle decoration.

Brass candlesticks purchased from a thift shop are used to display large ornaments. I got this idea from
an old Decorating Cents episode.
The crystal bowl is one that my mother had purchased back in the 70s. Old faded ornaments are thrown into it
for interest.

Old happy meal toys are used to decorate this tree. It's a fun look. This idea came from an old Carol
Duvall episode.

I didn't have anything the right size so I taped together two blocks of my husband's leftover wood to use as a template
for making the gift bags. The leaves on the bags are leftovers from bushes that had flowers removed for other projects.
I have this compulsion to make candy every xmas. Luckily, I give most of it away. I've found so many
food containers are easily recyclable. In this picture are a tea box, an instant coffee jar, a plastic container that
held candy, an instant diet shake container, and even a bag that held bulk candy.

Characters are made of leftover foamies from a kids' necklace project.

Small can used to hold nuts and now contains cranberry almond bark. The tall can used
to hold diet drink powder and has various cookies. The metal can is one of 4 soup cans that I baked a quick bread recipe
in. Very tasty and instead of getting 2 loaves, one gets 4 smaller loaves. These require less baking time than
the usual recipe.
They look cute and protect the loaves during transportation.
