This moon collage is made from a canvas bought from a thrift shop, old broken pieces of jewelry, earrings with missing mates, and old pieces from the 80s that will never go back in style. I really enjoyed making this. It's fun and easy.

This clay cat was made by my daughter in art class. I like it so much I wish I could find a way to hang it on the wall.

The pink paisley eyebrows and green bindi were cut off two pairs of old worn shoes. The silver rick rack whiskers are a friend's castoff.

This Vase New Life

A New Paint Job and Some

Flowers were Replaced

These two vases have been given new life with paint and a change of just a few flowers. I had pastels in our old home in the south. It was so hot, I decorated in pastels to make it feel cooler. Now, I live further north and can indulge in color without feeling too hot.

The red one on the left used to be a pale peach with a whitewashed wicker. The one on the right was a horrible chalky pale pink with pink irises and berries. I covered the flowers with newspaper while I did a faux finish on the vase. Then I just replaced the old pink flowers with red daylilies and blueberries. I'd post pictures of the vases before they were painted but can't find any.
