The capstan of the tape player contacts the roller on the tape cartridge. that causes, by friction, the tape to move.
Tape is pulled from the center on the reel of tape, dragged pass the tape heads, and is wound on the OUTSIDE of the tape reel.
(the plastic reel holding the tape also turns, clockwise)The direction of the tape is From Left to Right. The backside
of the tape is coated with graphite for lubrication, and longer tape life.
