I am writing to share with you the sad news that Michael's remains were located in Vermont. He was found just 21/2 miles from where he disappeared 41/2 years ago. I am so sad but it is good to know that he is - and has been- with the Lord much of this time. It was so heartbreaking to think he might have been suffering and we were not there to help him. Please keep us all in your prayers - Buddy, MIke's Dad, Stepmother Pat, brother Joe and sister Emily - as we mourn his loss.

Today Michael is 30 years old. Family and friends gathered in prayer at St. Margaret’s Church in Bel Air. Michael’s Dad is in the church choir and a large number of choir members attended the mass. Their voices filled the small chapel and were a comfort to us all. Somewhere, Michael must feel the prayers, the love and our deep desire to see him again. Happy birthday, Michael!

We have not provided an update on our search since May. Unfortunately, there is little to report by way of leads. Michael appeared out of nowhere in April in Ventura, California and just as mysteriously disappeared - before we could see him, hear him and embrace him... It is important to keep in mind that Michael could be anywhere and not limit our search efforts to the west coast. In one unsubstantiated contact he made in Ventura, he said he was “just passing through”. He somehow traveled to California from Vermont. He could be in Vermont, New York, Ohio or anywhere. 

 

When Michael was seen in April he was not well mentally. He was confused and was suffering from amnesia. He remains endangered and missing and we remain heartbroken and worried about him. Please do not forget about our pursuit.  We had a miracle in April with the help of a kind and generous woman. We could have another with your help.
