About the owner:
David Streit is a Registered Piano Technician Member of the Piano Technicians’ Guild.
David grew up in Missoula, Montana and entered military service as a helicopter
technician in 1986. After achieving the rank of Sergeant (E-5) he decided to use the G.I. Bill and go to college.
While attending college, David entered the R.O.T.C. program and graduated
as a 2nd. Lieutenant branched Infantry in June of 1990.
Spending a total of nine years in the military, David left the Airborne Infantry in Fort Benning,
Georgia as a First Lieutenant and decided to stay in Georgia.
While living in Macon David apprenticed with Mr. George
White, a 40 year veteran of the piano industry. David began his life as a full
time piano technician under the business name Professional Piano Tuning and Repair and eventually bought George’s business
(The Piano Organ Warehouse) when George retired.
After moving back to the Northwest, David worked as a Yamaha technician for Cascade Piano in Portland until he could
get an advertisement in the Yellow Pages and start building his own clientele. He
changed the name of his business to AAA Piano Service to give the promise of top quality service and also to be listed first
in the phone book.
Besides taking care of his own business, David now works as a mentor with a number of new piano technicians.
He and his wife, Julie have a growing family of four children, William 8, Logan 6, Stephen 3 and Rachel Ann 1 1/2
years old. They are expecting their 5th. child in the middle of August 2008.
