Babson College
Built in 1919, the College
became a 4 year institution in 1968 under the direction
of its then President, Henry Kriebel (father of classmate Giff Kriebel). There are 1600 undergraduates and approximately 800 MBA students in full and part-time programs. In 2004, the Board of Trustees voted to grant doctoral degrees in business. Much building has occurred on the campus, including a world class executive education facility. Babson is named #1 in Entrepreneurship studies in numerous ranking publications. The 1955 rotating World Globe and the relief map of the United States attracted many school trips. The relief map building has been replaced by a new dormitory and the Globe, fully refurbished, no longer rotates.
