Fells Library

Built in 1851 as a schoolhouse and converted in 1923 to a Branch Library when Hardy School (across the street) was opened, the Fells and the branch libraries in the Hills are the subject of an ongoing debate whether they should remain open. The Town Committee to Save Branch Libraries raised 66K last year to keep the branches open for another year.  Across from this library are enthusiastic supporters in the housing for the elderly project.
