About a year ago many of us
were gathered in Wellesley for our 40th Reunion. I had expected it to be a special time. I do think that by “going home again” (which many of us have found you can do and
do with heartfelt joy and gratitude), and hugging
those people, hearing those stories, remembering those places and sharing those memories made us aware that we have had memories “wrapping their arms around
us” for a very long time… and that the memories of our childhood have always
“protected” us
at some level. To be able to reclaim those memories, to really connect with our old childhood friends and, better
yet, to move on as the people
we’ve become now, creating new memories, is a very special thing, indeed.
During the weekend many of
you took pictures and asked me if I would please send an email blast to tell people how to upload
the pictures to the Kodak Gallery
address we’ve established so there could be a way to share the pictures. This is how you do
that:
2. User ID: whs65pictures@yahoo.com
3. Password: reunion
4. Once on the site follow
the directions for Uploading pictures. People with digital cameras know how to do this….either from their camera, after uploading
their pictures to their own computer OR from a disc they have created.
5. I uploaded Gene’s
pictures and found that those pictures with the biggest jpegs needed to be put in different albums. Each
album only
holds a certain amount. For most of you, you’ll be able to upload your pictures into one album.
6. There are also directions
for people who used film on the site.
7. NOTE:
To order pictures, please SET
UP YOUR OWN ACCOUNT and “share”
the pictures to your email address. Do NOT ORDER from the WHS address, please. We don’t want any credit card numbers used on this address
for security
reasons.
There are already a good number
of albums on the site so that the memory sharing can begin immediately.
For those of you who were not
at the reunion, please know that you were remembered and were part of the stories told. For those of you who were at the reunion, thank you. Your energy, your warmth, your honesty and your
stories have already settled into my
memory bank and have me feeling very lucky.
