Warren School closed
in the 80s as an elementary school. For years it was
rented out to artists for their work space. When Sprague School was re-opened as an elementary school, the Recreation Department and Board of Health, the then tenants at Sprague, needed a new home. The Town spent $6 Million to renovate Warren as a recreation facility. Its programs are popular and the facility sees high usage. Neighbors raised private funds for the playground equipment.
