WHO MAY ENTER:   Any home gardener, any age may enter as many vegetables and herbs as desired, but may not have more than one entry in any one class.  Entries must have been grown by the exhibitor, (Refer to the listing for vegetable & herb classes.  Specific quantities are required for each class.)

                                               

HOW TO ENTER:   Entries will be accepted at the Wayne Johnson Community Center in La Marque from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 13th. Each exhibitor will be responsible for filling out an official Show Entry Card for each entry.  Containers should be marked on the underside with the owner’s name.

 

JUDGING:  Show Judges will have the authority to sub-divide classes or add additional classes when and if such action is required.  Judging will begin at 11:30 A.M.  Saturday, June 13th.

 

AWARDS:  To be awarded to all winning entries in each class for Vegetables & Herbs.

 

            Blue Ribbon - First Place

            Red Ribbon - Second Place

            Yellow Ribbon - Third Place

            White Ribbon - Honorable Mention

            Best of Show

 

VIEWING:  Exhibits will be opened for viewing by the general public from 1:30 to 3:00P.M.

 

PRESENTATIONS:  The Presentation of Awards for both show divisions will be held at 1:30 P.M. Photos will be taken for distribution to area newspapers.

 

CLOSING TIME:  The Vegetable and Herb Show will close immediately after presentations.

 

 

NOTE:  All exhibits must remain on display until the conclusion of show activities. Exhibitors must reclaim their exhibits between 3:00 & 3:30 p.m.
