Since Queen Victoria, the Royals have been patrons of the Braemar Gathering, the oldest such Gathering in Scotland, or for that matter, anywhere in the world.

There have been Highland Gatherings at Braemar since the days of King Malcolm Canmore, about 900 years ago. Since 1823 the gathering has been run by the Braemar Royal Highland Society, and since 2002 by the Braemar Royal Highland Gathering, Ltd.

The Braemar Book or annual programme, has been published over the years with some of the most accurate tales and history contained within it covers.

We present the following for your enlightenment.
