Elverson Rod and Gun Club

About

Mission

The purpose of our club is the encouragement of organized rifle, shotgun, pistol and archery shooting among US citizens in our community, with a view toward better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improving marksmanship.

We promote outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.

We encourage the propagation and preservation of fish and game, such as stocking and feeding birds and animals in order to preserve the tradition of good sportsmanship.

History

The Elverson Rod and Gun Club was founded in 1941. Since that time, we have made numerous improvements to the clubhouse and grounds. We recently acquired 16 additional acres for our members' enjoyment, and to ensure our long term viability in the face of the area's unprecidented development.

Hunter-Trapper Education

Under the direction of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the club is pleased to conduct two accreditted courses each year. Successful completion of this course is required for all first-time hunters.  This course is open to anyone who meets the age requirements set forth by the Game Commission.  Check our calendar for dates.

Pre-registration is required.
