MOTHER
"M" is for the many things she gave me.
"O" is only that she's growing old.
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me.
"H" is for her heart of purest gold.
"E" is for her eyes with lovelight shining.
"R" means right and right she'll always be.
Put them all together they spell
"MOTHER"
A word that means the world to me.
Howard Johnson (c.1915)

My mom went to her heavenly home on November
27, 2001. This will be my 5th Mother's Day without her and I miss her so very much. She was a loving
and caring mom to my sister and I, and the best grandma to our kids. She loved to spoil them, then send them back home
with us. Well, that's what grandma's are supposed to do! We were so blessed to have the parents God chose for
us.
Our family has such comfort to know without a doubt where she is at right
at this moment. She's resting peacefully with Jesus, just waiting until we all are back together again. She's
not hurting, paralyzed anymore, and with all our family that has gone on before. What a reunion they had when she arrived!
I told her just before she passed away to wait for me at the Eastern Gate. I wanted to see her standing, arms
open with that beautiful smile on her face when I get there.
Although I miss her, I wouldn't bring her back
here to the life she lived the last 6 years of her life. She suffered a massive stroke in October 1995 and spent
the next 6 years in a wheelchair. We put her in a very good nursing home close to my house where she was cared for by
loving nurses and aids. She
had a very dry wit and kept them all laughing most of the time. As she was dying, many of them would come in and
stand beside me quietly with tears in their eyes to pay their respects to her. She was a very special lady.
My father was a minister and she was a wonderful preacher's wife. The churches they pastored loved them both.
I hope you enjoy seeing these pictures as much as I have putting these pages together in her memory.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will visit my other sites also.
