Background

Photography:

I have been fascinated by photography for as long as I can remember. My parents bought me a "U-Build Camera" kit when I was in grade school and I've enjoyed taking photos ever since. I bought my first 35mm SLR in 1993 and started studying photography on my own. I later enrolled in a correspondance course with the New York Institute of Photography to learn about professional photography. I have always enjoyed capturing a piece of personality on film, whether it be of a person, animal, or thing. I also like creating digital art with the use of a digital SLR and Adobe Photoshop (which is another self-learned interest).

In the past, I have worked as a portrait photographer at Studio One-to-One (which was formerly Glamour Shots) at Grapevine Mills and I have done work out of a home studio in San Antonio, Texas to include weddings, debuts, fashion, families, babies, and headshots for performing artists, etc. I am currently available to do a variety of portraits as a private photographer.

Arts/Crafts:

I have sold dreamcatchers and bead creatures at "Indian Joes" and spider jewelry and bead creatures at "Nightmare on Grayson"- both in San Antonio. My crafts and paintings were also sold at "Uptown Antiques, Downtown Flea Market" in Texarkana, Texas. I have also sold photography, art, bead creatures, and crystal/stone jewelry in an eBay store that preceeded this website.

General:

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology. I have done work in various fields to include the educational, military, medical, martial arts, zoological, and photographic fields. I am also a Reiki Master in Usui Teate Reiki, & Organic Reiki and have been studying other alternative healing arts. If you are interested in learning about Reiki, please go to my Reiki website at azitagonzalez.com.

My Goals
  • -To provide a personal photographic session to meet the individual needs of the customer.
  • -To provide high quality images and crafts that can be cherished for years to come.
  • -To be creative, artful, expressive, and collaborative with the customer's desires.

I have used 35mm, medium format, and digital cameras. I still own film cameras, but now I do the majority of my photography with digital cameras. I prefer studio settings where I can have better control of lighting, but I also do outdoor "on location" work as well.
