*Some Notes About Courses*
I am currently offering one-on-one and small group classes for all levels
of training for the Usui Teate Reiki style which is a traditional style of Reiki that uses traditional symbols and techniques
that come from Japan. Having been introduced to newer styles as well, I can also offer optional additional information including
newer symbols for those who request it.
Due to request, I am now offering Level III as either a
complete Master Teacher Level or as a split option separated into Master Level III and separate teacher training for those
who want to receive master level instruction but are not interested in or not ready for teaching Reiki to others (but can
later take additional instruction if they so choose.) Each of these does involve master symbol. The teacher training is simply
that, additional training geared toward the teaching aspects of Reiki.
Prerequisites
- Level I is the beginner level and has no prerequisite except to complete a meditation
for a one week period prior to the empowerment. This meditation can be e-mailed for your convenience.
- The prerequisite for Level II is to have completed Level I, either with me or
with another instructor.
- The prerequisite for Level III is to have completed Levels I and II, either with
me or another instructor.
- The prerequisite for separate Teacher Training is to have completed Levels, I,
II, and III either with me or another instructor.
All
levels must have at least a 21 day cleansing period before progressing to the next level.
The cost for these courses is done on a donation basis. Considerations should be the time spent receiving instruction
and the cost of materials. Donations do not have to be monetary, I have gladly accepted beautiful crystals, time exchanges,
and other talent offerings. I wish not for the student to consider the course less valuable since they are not paying an outright
large lump sum fee, nor do I wish for any student to feel indebted to me. Therefore, I ask you to give donations for each
class as you feel is appropriate to your budget as well as how you value the class.

What happens during a Reiki Empowerment?
A Reiki Empowerment, Reiju, or Attunement, is a very special ceremony-like
process in which the "Reiki ability" is awakened in the student. During this process the student's energy channels are opened
up to receive Reiki and create a permanent connection to the energy source which can then be used for healing the self and
others. Some of the effects of a Reiki empowerment can include a cleansing and clearing process in order to hold a higher
energetic vibration, a more positive and healthier outlook and greater ability to handle stress, spiritual awakening, increased
healing ability, and an increased psychic/intuitive ability.
Because of these changes to the energetic system, it
is necessary for a 21-day cleansing and clearing process time after the empowerment before advancing to the next level. This
allows the system time to adjust and fully incorporate the energy of that level and also gives the student time to learn and
practice the techniques in order to more fully masterthem before moving
on to learn new techniques.
What do
you do during the cleansing process?
During the cleansing/clearing process, it is important to
do your self-healings daily and is beneficial to do the energy exercise that you learn in class as well.
It
is also well to get rest and drink plenty of water. During this time you can do Reiki on friends and family who are willing
as well as on plants and animals, all the while becoming more familiar with the energy and its positive effects.
In
addition, I offer Reiju sessions to help strengthen the connection to Reiki and purify the energy. This is not a requirement;
however, it seems to assist the cleansing/clearing process to follow along more smoothly and rapidly and also enhances the
ability of the student to become more sensitive to subtle energies.

Some Notes About Reiki Instruction
and Choices
Instruction for Reiki is not regulated by the education
department. There is no licensing required for the practice of Reiki, however, there are state laws involving hands-on approaches
to healing that you need to be aware of if you are intending to practice Reiki professionally. Because there is no educational
regulation, there are both freedoms as well as drawbacks to getting training. There are many Reiki teachers out there and
you must find one that resonates with you. I have heard of some people going for a Reiki class and only receiving an "attunement"
with no instruction whatsoever. So make sure that you know what to expect from the class that you decide to take. Also there
is a tremendous amount of variations of Reiki that have been created by individuals, so also make sure that you resonate with
the particular "style" of Reiki you are planning on taking.
If you are looking
for a "fast track" to become a "Reiki Master," I am not the teacher for you. The classes that I offer involve work, practice,
and growth. There is no true "fast track" to mastership of anything. So beware of being guided by the ego which simply
wants a title and beware of money making schemes that will offer you overnight mastership. This is a journey, and as such,
it takes time, it takes commitment, and it takes work. Originally, Reiki was a lifestyle and was practiced on a regular basis.
Students attended weekly training and certainly did not progress to the next level overnight. Growth requires cultivation,
nurturing, and time. If you are always in a rush, you will most certainly miss out on the subtle nuances that can bring magic
into your life. What's the hurry? After all, life is not about the destination, it is about the journey. That is why
you are here, isn't it? Take some time to enjoy it.
