     Picked it up at Salavation Army on the back shelf.  Some interesting sounds but didn't think much beyond that.  Figured it was probable just a black blob with little potential.  Then saw mention that a musician (Tenacious D? -- only know the name) was using one in performance.  So took a closer look at it.  Most interesting thing I found was a pot on the circuit board.  Pulled it and replaced it with a potentiameter (500 ohm as I recall that you could rotate while playing.  Also added a photoresister that you could toggle on/off (though I could be recalling incorrectly...).  It was an interesting project though I prefer something with more distortion.
