The Wardroom Fund Raising for Fall Semester- Football Tailgates & Company Outings.

If you would like to contribute to our mission of making 27th the proudest, happiest company in the brigade, we would love to have your support. All you need to do is to address a check to “27th Company Wardroom Fund” and send it to your son or daughter, who will know what to do with it (or send it directly to the Academy- address below). Some of the things our Midshipmen like to do are:

Sports Tailgaters
Picnics/Barbecues
Company Outing (Medieval Times? Monster Truck Rally? Who knows!?)
Formal Dining Out (old military tradition)
Minor wardroom improvements (maintenance, decoration)

Last year we completed the remodeling of the wardroom, and are incredibly grateful for your support to make this project a reality.

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

We know that not everyone has the means to help. If you can help, however, you will know that it has been for a good cause, as whatever you can give will directly contribute to comfort and morale of your son or daughter and their friends for the remainder of their time at the Academy. Checks can be made out to Midshipman Welfare Fund and sent to the following address:

Midshipmen Welfare Fund

101 Buchanan Road

Bancroft Hall

Annapolis, MD 21412

Thank You- Wardroom Renovations Completed.

Here is an update on the activities for Wardroom remodeling fund raising projects.
Thanks to your generosity and the hard work of our midshipmen, in late October 2007 we met the renovation goals we had set for the year, drastically preceding the time frame we had originally set. Not long after you received an email about this fund raising, we repainted and redecorated, replacing dark colors and corny military memorabilia with brighter colors and college-themed decorations.

After that, we found an excellent deal on a used big-screen TV, and jumped on it. It was obnoxiously large in the living room from which it has been liberated, but is right at home in our wardroom (a special thanks to Mr. Tim Reeves- 2010 parent, for rebuilding our bookshelves to make it fit!).

We bought beautiful black leather couches and proudly concluded our major efforts at improving the wardroom last academic year.
