The donor engine had 46,000 miles on it and was in good condition.
It had good compression and the valve train and bottom end all looked good, so I didn't do any work on the guts of the engine.
I cleaned up the exterior of it, painted the valve covers, and installed the Ford Racing shorty headers, a new clutch/pressure
plate, the a/c replacement idler pully, and the Factor Five oil pan.
Hurricane Ike put a little damper on the build process because we had
to evacuate our home. God was watching over us (and our home), as we sustained only minor damage. After getting
back home and recovering from the storm, my helpers (wife and son) and I installed the engine.
