Jesus promised:
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are
many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come again and receive you
to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. -- John 14:1-3
Jesus warned us against any secret coming
or secret rapture:
``Then if anyone tells you, `The Messiah has arrived at such and such a place, or has appeared
here or there,' don't believe it. For false Christs shall arise,
and false prophets, and will do wonderful miracles, so that if it were possible, even God's chosen ones would be deceived.
See, I have warned you. ``So if someone tells you the Messiah has returned and is out in the desert, don't bother to
go and look. Or, that he is hiding at a certain place, don't believe it! For as the lightning flashes across the
sky from east to west, so shall my coming be, when I, the Messiah, return. -- Matt.24:23-27 LB.
"But when I, the Messiah, shall come
in my glory, and all the angels with me, then I shall sit upon my throne of glory." -- Matt.25:31 LB
Look! He Comes! He comes with clouds and everyone will
see him.
Is the coming of Jesus going to be silent? Will the wicked see the coming
of Jesus?
"I can tell you this directly from the Lord: that we who are still living
when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come
down from heaven with a mighty shout and with the soul-stirring cry of the archangel and the great trumpet-call of
God. And the believers who are dead will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with this news.
1 Thess. 4:15-18 LB
Behold, He is coming
with clouds, and every eye will see Him,... And all the tribes of the earth
will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. --- Revelation 1:7
"Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent;
A fire shall devour before Him, And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him." --- Psalms 50:3
"Then the sky receded as
a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And
the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to
the mountains and, rocks"Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits
on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able
to stand?'' -- Rev.6:14-17
And then the lawless one will be revealed,
whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thess. 2:8

Those who appreciate
the holy life and sacrifice of Jesus and accept God's ransom to save us from the pit of sin will look forward to the
return of Jesus with great joy.
"Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a
recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
and come to Zion
with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Isaiah 35:4-5,10
And it will be said in that day: "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He
will save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.'' - Isaiah 25:9 NKJ

I love the song written by my classmate-friend Roy Pendleton:
Are You Ready for Jesus to Come?
First stanza
The theme of the Bible is Jesus, and how He died to save men.
The scheme of salvation assures us he's coming back again.
chorus:
Are you ready for Jesus to come?
Are you faithful in all that you do?
Have you fought a good fight,
Have you stood for the right?
Have others seen Jesus in you?
Are you ready to stand in your place?
Are you ready to look in His face?
Can you look up and say, "This is my Lord!"
Are you ready for Jesus to come?
Second stanza:
Don't cling to the world and its treasure, this earth will soon pass away.
Oh, give Him your love without measure, He's calling you today.
chorus:
Are you ready for Jesus to come?
Are you faithful in all that you do?
Do you fight a good fight,
Do you stand for the right?
Do others see Jesus in you?
Are you ready to stand in your place?
Are you ready to look in His face?
Can you look up and say, "This is my Lord!"
Are you ready for Jesus to come?
Math.24:44 NIV - So you also must be ready,
because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Revelation 22:20-21 He who testifies to these
things says, "Surely I am coming quickly.'' Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
| The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with
you all. Amen.
|
It is my constant prayer that all who happen to read this will
be encouraged to fight the good fight of faith and will stand ready to meet Jesus when he comes in glory.
