Signal Mirror Installation (page 2)

Now the mirror is disassembled and you are ready to move some parts over, and throw some out. The black frame and the body colored shell are no more. These are what is repalced by the new parts. The panel that attaches to the car and the motor are used over.

Exploded.

Here are all the parts in the old mirror. Shell, frame, "arm," motor, and panel.

The old frame, shell, and armature are not reused. Only the motor, wiring harness, and the mounting plate.

New wiring.

HTe first part is to thread new existing and the new wiring harness (on the right) through.

The factory harness is a pain to remove from the mounting plate, so work backwards and feed the wires through the housing and then through the wire channel in the new arm.

Back together.

Here are all the parts back together again. The instruction's pictures are really well done.

The assembly is pretty straightforwards, so I didn't detail it excessively. Just look at the pictures and you should be able to figure the steps out.
