Have you ever heard someone playing the piano and thought, "I wonder if I could ever play
like that?" Or have you ever wanted to give your child the gift of music? I'm not
talking about a CD that they will enjoy for a while and then put on the back of the shelf. I mean a precious
gift that they will be able to enjoy, develop, refine and even give to others (without ever having to lose it themselves!).
A gift that will last a lifetime without ever breaking - and actually becomes brand new every time it is used.
I was given this gift when I was 5 years old and over the years it has
become more than a love or a lifelong hobbie. It has become my career. I have shared this gift with
countless people through the years - some at funerals, hospice centers and convelescent homes who found comfort
and encouragement in times of need or loss. I have also shared the gift at weddings, parties, receptions and
church gatherings providing people with an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
This gift that I have been talking about, I'm sure you have guessed, is the
gift of piano lessons - and the ability to create music on the piano. I am so grateful that my parents gave me
this gift when I was a child. And I think the joy I receive from teaching the piano comes from the hope that
those I teach will have as many memorable and rewarding experiences through our mutual gift as I have had.
I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about lessons and/or piano tuning and to answer any questions
that you may have. Feel free to check out more about me and the services I provide from the
navigation bar at the top of this page.
