Consider this the major project page of the website, for 2007.

My neighbor, Richard and I are planning a new gatway to the apartment. This is going to be chip board, waffer board, (whatever,) it's built like a frame and it will rest against the wall.

It will be built by Richard and painted by me, with a faux stone texture. Two skulls are going to top the columbs on either side.

These white skulls are old ToT buckets. I have already located a pair of old PC speakers, (powered) inside them. All I have to do is run an audio signal to them. The speakers face upwards, and will bounce the sound off the ceiling. They'll only be an inch or so from the ceiling.

There is another speaker that will be connect to a Talking Boris skull, which will be hung on the sign and centered above the word "CEMETARY". Boris will be tilted slightly downwards to face the guests as they enter the apartment door.

Rich is going to leave space inside the sign, and an opening that will allow a speaker to face downwards. This will bring the Boris speaker closer and generally aimed at the people standing in front of the gate.

I'll be peaking through the peep hole, and be able to converse through Boris. The microphone element was removed from the dorkish bone housing, and attached to a stiff wire.

The microphone wire will be run through the door jamb, where a stiff wire is fasioned into a small circle, and mounted around the peep hole. This allows the peep hole to hold the microphone.

The stiff wire is bent/shaped so as to position the microphone in front of my mouth as I look through the peep hole. I won't have to touch the microphone all night. It's perfectly positioned whenever I look through the peep hole.

There will be real tourches, with the wicks pulled back so that the flames aren't quite as high as normal. Since the party is taking place on Novemer 3rd. There will be no ToTs to worry about. Only adults are present and I trust them not to set the castle ablaze.

There's a fire alarm station just off to the right of the gate. So even if it should get out of hand, the alarm is right there. Also, I'll have the fire extinguisher right at the front door. So all bases are covered if the tourches should be disturbed.

We have vines-a-plenty growing just past the back lot line. THis is just 20 feet or so from the door. I picked a tendrel of vine last night, just to see how long it takes to wither and turn brown. I can then pick a bit more for the uprights and have real dead foliage on the columbs.

Spanish moss is available if we just go pluck it off the trees, so we'll be doing that too.

Here's the front door. It's located in a halway that is open to the elements at either end.
