The big toy of the shopping trips. A wireless microphone. It's intended use is to be used with karaoke, but I'm going to try and hack it into a Talking Boris skull.
After that, I'll use it for the band.

The down side... The cord from the reciever is a fat 1/4" plug. NOT an 1/8" plug. You may need an adapter to use this on equipment you already own.

The output IS Line Level. Which is NOT an amplified signal. It won't produce sound if connected directly to a speaker, unless that speaker has a built-in amplifier.

Thought you autta know...

Cost: $13.98

Here's most of the electrical stuff I bought.

I was jonesin' for the Mannheim Steamroller Halloween Creatures Collection ll
This has a few original songs plus a few remakes of familliar themes and Halloween songs. A second disk has some way cool audio effects and extended dance remixes of their originals. A THIRD disk has video/DVD. Which I haven't had the opportunity to view just yet.

It's a great dance disk set. Perfect for the party.

Wolfie likes lightbulbs. I have two swagged fixtures that had just blue & red bulbs in them, but I wanted a few more colors. These round bulbs come in two different sizes. $1.49 each. I bought 3 packs of both sizes.

Here's the bulbs in the fixture above the sink.

I also found that Target started putting out their christmas stuff, and I found a few strings of LED lights. I'm not quite sure that these will match up with the other two strings I use, year round. But I didn't have enough "string" to reach across the ceiling before. Now I do.

Thing is, if I decided to pass on this, chances are, it might not be around next month. So I played it safe, and picked 'em up while I could.

HAUL07.JPG

These were the best wall decorations I've seen yet. One is a skeleton that is holding it's head above the neck, the other one has an axe and is smashing through the window. These are printed on clear plastic.

One will be on the back wall of the bedroon. So when you enter the bedroom, you'll be directly in front of it. The other one will be on another wall. When you walk out of the bathroom, you'll be directly in front of it.

These do not glow very well under UV/Blacklight. So if you think that it might, it doesn't. But it's no biggie. Glow or not, their both cool.

Party Supplies Ahead

An assortment of Trays, Bowls, small Paper Plates, Coasters, Napkins & Tea Lites for candles.

HAUL11.JPG

Wal Mart had a cool little selection with a somewhat reto look to them.

HAUL12.JPG

Target had some napkins I liked. The two packs with pumpkins on them at the bottom of this pic. I also found another foam pumkin, and another package of green webbing. I just could not find orange webbing anywhere this year. Oh well... Can't have it all I guess.

HAUL13.JPG

I was out of gold craft paint. I had an idea that I would paint one of the fangs of my new werewolf mask, gold. Just to set it apart from the other Jersey Werewolves which may be lurking out there.

HAUL14.JPG

The big experement...

The mirrored balls are actually a christmass item. The orange rings are actually color changing LED lamps that are intended to be placed in a carved pumpkin. But I thought, if the LED were bright enough, they can cast bright colored light on the ornements and scatter a bunch of colored spots all over the walls & ceiling.
Rick thinks it's going too "disco" and not very "halloween".
I say, "It's a freakin' party dude. Not a "haunt".

Besides, I have a reputation to uphold. I love party lights and effect lighting. Everyone knows this is what Wolfie's all about. My friends expect me to have something new.

HAUL15.JPG

These were $3.97 each.

HAUL16.JPG

$2.88 was a reasonable price I think. The lights take 3 AAA-batteries. They have a rigid clear plastic lens with some bump-like defuser to scatter the light. But I already took one apart and removed the defuser. This allowed the LED light to focus into a beam, and it created a great starlight effect with the mirrored balls.
