How to build a really cheap wig or mask stand

MLKJUG07.JPG

I was just cleaning up the apartment. It was looking messy after I had completed a few projects, and I kind of forgotten about the new mask I bought. I didn't have a wig stand to place it upon. But I needed something... ANYTHING to keep it's shape.

I thought about how I uses a milk jug to support a mask for Easel Eddie, but I needed it to be considerably shorter.

As luck would have it, I save a few milk jugs for projects. Luck also made me save the caps too. Here, you can use a large plastic milk jug, and a small plastic milk jug to create a makeshift wig/mask stand.

Two milk jugs... One Large, one small...
Take a wild guess which is which.
You have ten seconds
before your PC crashes...

Two milk jug caps and three small screws.

Run the screws into the caps
as they are positionded Back-to-back.
Keep the screw heads away from the edge as they may
block the lip of the jug opening from seating firmly inside the caps.

I tried to locate the screws so that they were half way between
the center of the cap, and the inside edge.

I had already 1/2 filled the larger jug with water, to weigh down the base.
This will keep it from tipping over too easilly.
I could of used sand, but it's dark
outside, and I'm scared.

Screw the caps onto the larger milk jug.
then,
screw the smaller milk jug to the caps.

Slip the wig or mask over the smaller jug.
The small jug won't stretch the mask or the wig like a large jug would.
The base is heavy, so there's less chance of it getting knocked around.
PLUS
you saved a few bucks and a trip to the salon
to buy a wig stand and getting strange looks.
