The lamp in the range hood
has an orange "party bulb" in it.
The stainless steel sink /\
reflects the lights in the area

This is what you see when you enter the apartment.

The pumpkin figure is a bobblehead.

The front of the bar is mirrored.

/\
This is the Harry Potter Sorcerer's Stone prop
I made (on the right) from an old jewelry box & a crystal. I made a parchment that explains
the stone and I have one of the Hogwart's letters when Harry found out that he's really a wizard.

The flourecent lamp fixtures are individually operated. I can have either one
on, or off in any combination. The blacklight (UV) is on a remote control. I made a lime green filter for the white fixture.
Just to give it a little color than the bright stark white. When it is turned on, it won't be so blinding, yet will be bright
enough when needed.

Over the mirror, is a swagged wroaght iron lamp with hammered glass panels. On
top, I wired a raven that "caws" when it senses someone entering the room.
The Bedroom is just going to be another place for people to gather and lounge
around. While I DO have a lot of fallout that has accumulated here. The prop I PLANNED to put in the storage closet is most
likely going to be dropped, due to the lack of space.
What can I say? All this crap has GOT to go somewhere!
I have a nice big table here, and
it's going to be relatively quiet, (but a CD of a few FX tracks from Mannheim Steamrollers Halloween 2 is going to be mixed
and played on another boom box in HERE.) If just to offer another themed environment, away from the busier Kitchen/Living
Room.

The bedroom walls are covered by a series of fabric "panels" that simply hang on
the walls from large finishing nails. The nails have small heads and are hammered through grommets that Rick has already installed.
These are black-out walls that he had made for a haunt he had when he lived up North. He brought them down to Florida when
he moved here two years ago.

Rick forgot about the pentagram he painted on one of the panels.Considering that
a number of odd things have been discovered while putting the PartyHaunt together, I'm getting a little weary that the bad-luck
is starting to build. Such as, the bill for the dry cleaned 3-piece suit that Easil Eddie is wearing cost $13.13... The smaller
Blacklights have mounting holes that are exactly 13" apart... And the pumpkin I perchased cost $6.66. Now this pentagram shows
up, unexpectedly. And it just so happens to be righ over the window of the room.

I'm lucky enough to have collected several types of dream catchers, and various
other Native American artwork. I also have several pieces of my regalia displayed here. So it's a bit of an errie museum-like
display.

The fabric was hung right over the doorway to the bathroom. It was then pulled
off to the right and tucked behind a make-shift medallion I made from the lid of a ROUND Altoids Candies Canister. The bathroom
door is also covered in black. This creates a whiteish frame around the door. Which sort of outlines the door opening. Like
the bathroom isn't even there.
Of course, the floorlamp is going to find a temporary home in the storage closet.
So there won't be a bright light in this room. That'll help keep the room dark and the bathroom door kind of "questionable".

Welcome to the Dark Side

Here's the store bought mini-FCG. I did take a few 3 to 4" strips of black
electrical tape and created sheilds to hide the LEDs from view. The tape was just hung from the black bar that the FCG is
supported from. Just stuck one end of the tape, and left the rest to hang down to act like a "shade". Fairly simple.
In the other image, you can see that the four LEDs are plainly visible, and
I didn't want the lamps to distract from the prop. I also started to hang the candles. As I discribed in the Halloween Hacks:
Suspended Candle Tutorial.
(See the navagation Menu at the top left of any of the website pages.)

I've suspended about 24 candles in the bedroom. They all seem to float pretty well and the
fishing line seems to be hidden fairly well. I was concerned that light would be reflected from the monofilament, but it wasn't
really all that bad.

This face may be recognizable to you. But I painted a bit of flourcent paints to it. The
cardboard face was pinned to the fabric that covers the door. The "robe" cosyme was pinned to include two peats in the fabricc
and bunched up slightly at the shoulders.
This was then hung by two thumbtacks pushed into the top edge of the door. Since the apartment
is a rental. I didn't want to damage the front or the back of the door. So anything "hung" on the foor is either attatched
to the fabric, or hung from thumbtacks via monofilament line.
In case you're wondering... it's 20lb. test.

I plan to keep updating the Apartment pages as I continue to add the final touches. So
please feel free to check back in a few days and discover what I've been up to.
Until then...
