Here's a little idea you may want to try sometime. It's sort of a secret passage, but once the guests know it's there, it's the goulest thing next to Boo Juice.

DOORWAY1.JPG

Start off with the doorway. I had a few fabric panels left over. One was the normal 6 ft. wide or so, and another was the same width, but it was half as tall. The shorter piece is going to be used as a valance, because the full piece does not reach fully from the floor to the ceiling.

So, the first piece was lifted into place, and I just guess-timated that I should leave about a 1/2" or so as clearance above the floor. I nailed both upper corners to the wall. This let the remaining fabric to hang in the center.

I gathered the fabric in the center, and folded it to take up the slack in a sort of "Z" configuration, so that the fabric was gathered in the center.

Between the two folds, I slit the fabric straight up the center. This created two panels, that overlapped somewhat in the center.

DOORWAY8.JPG

In the center of the hallway, (and directly over the curtain,) install a plant hook in the ceiling. This is going to help support the curtain and the valance in the center. It prevent's the whole thing from drooping in the middle. And it'll make it look a lot better.

The folds of the fabric were held in place with some of those super large saftey-pins. Another large saftey-pin was used to support the curtan in the center, as a sort of anchor to hold a black cord, which was looped through the plant hook in the ceiling.

DOORWAY9.JPG

The shorter piece of fabric was too long to be used as a valance, so I simply folded it lengthwise, and nailed a corner up on either side of the hallway. I sort of folded the habric in a few inches on the left and right, so sort of cause the corderoy to puff up a bit, so that it wouldn't lay too flat.

DOORWAYA.JPG

A short piece of black chain was used to lift the center of the valance, to create a few more pleats in the fabric. This added a bit more intrest, and created a way cool way to hang my Talking Boris Skull from.

DOORWAYB.JPG

When I took this picture, I didn't see a figure in the hallway. But after I sent the image, from the camera phone, to the Emailbox, I noticed it.

DOORWAYC.JPG

After I imported the image into Photopaint, I was able to enlarge the image.
Below you can see what I saw.
