POSTPONED! CHECK BACK FOR A NEW SCHEDULED DATE THIS FALL...
The men's discussion group of the Michiana GLBT Resource Center in Mishawaka, Indiana, has invited me for
another book discussion, so we'll spend an evening dishing The Handyman's Promise. I'll be there Tuesday, August
26th. The meeting kicks off at 7pm. This is an open group, so anyone who wants to stop by and hear my blah-blah
about Ed and Rick is welcome to attend. I had a great time when I visited with these guys last year, so I'm really looking
forward to it. Leader Greg encourages all gay, bi, or transgendered men in the Michiana area to stop by!
Ed and Rick's trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park in The Handyman's Reality was sort of a thank you note
from me to a place where I've had so much fun over the years. I finally spent a night in the Hotel Breakers in 1999.
If you squint you can see I'm wearing a silly Titanic t-shirt that Steve had bought for me the year before during Titanic-mania.
So -- what music for this picture? What else? Considering the t-shirt and the fact that Steve's been gone six
years now, it's gotta be "My Heart Will Go On!"
What was I doing in 1981 when Ed and Rick of the HANDYMAN books were building their beautiful relationship?
Let me just say this: Looking at this picture makes me wanna dig out my 12-inch record of Elton Motello singing "Jet
Boy, Jet Girl."
The Handyman series is available through many other online retailers, and can be found in
your favorite independent gay/lesbian bookstores throughout the U.S. and Canada as well.

(Please note: As time goes by and the licensing agreements Itunes has for some songs expires,
individual songs disappear from the Imixes. If there is a specific song from one of the books you can't find on an Imix,
shoot me an email, and I'll let you know if it's available, and where you can find it.)
