I have listed the sizes and back spaces for

" American Racing "

Torq Thrust wheels below.

* * * * * *
Front or Back space is important because of clearance in the wheel well.

Knowing offsets does not help all the time. Having the space measurements and tire bulge does.

* * Measurements are taken from brake drum

mounting surface to outer lip. * * front or back * *

* * * * * * * * * * * *

American Racing * cast in back
backside.jpg

* * All Original 60's American Racing Torq Thrust wheels had rim size and off set stamped / embossed / cast into back of each wheel.

* * If it does not say American Racing in back of your aluminum wheel.

.............THEN its not American Racing ! ! !

Bolt patterns* *

Using the method like in the picture :

"Measure Bolt Patterns"

5 on 4 = 2- 5/16 "

5 on 4.5 = 2- 5/8 " Common - FORD

5 on 4.75 = 2- 3/4 " Common - CHEV / GM

5 on 5 = 2- 7/8"

5 0n 5.5 = 3- 1/4"

This meathod gives you an accurate measurement. If you find that the wheel you are measureing does not give you these numbers then take a close look at the holes to see if they are worn or someone has taken a file to them.

Over the years I have seen a lot abuse because of wrong style / too long / loose lug nuts and attemps to uni lug wheels.

Measure holes out side to In side

Measuring center to center is not as accurate
