Super 24k Topographical Maps

Do you need to view more than one 1:24,000 topo map at a time?
Need the detail of a 1:24,000 scale map but the coverage of
a 1:62,500? Well, now you canhave it. By removing the collars and piecing
together four 1:24,000 topo maps, greater coverage can be had
and map detail retained. Map will be in the Geotiff format.

The new map from the four 1:24,000 scale topos will be
around 30 MB. The new map will be about equal in area
coverage to a 1:62,500 scale topo map. Map is georeferenced.
I also can piece together 4, 6 or 8 maps, but remember that
the map file will get larger.

Burned on a CDrom. Priced as Follows:

4 1:24,000 scale topos stitched together on CD $10
6 1:24,000 scale topos stitched together on CD $15
8 1:24,000 scale topos stitched together on CD $18

Please send list of 24k quads you want stitched together.

Custom Map CD

A Custom Map CD is a great way to have all the maps and Aerial photos

you need of a certain area on CDROM for quick and easy access.

With the custom CD, you can select up to 35 maps or Aerial photo from any of the CD's.

This includes the 1:24000, 1:100,000 & 1:250,000 Scales.

Software for viewing the Topo maps is included on the CD.

To show you the possibilities, let's create one.

First, I will select the maps of my home area in 1:24,000 7 1/2 minute scale.

These maps show the most detail, but cover less area:

Vandergrift

Avonmore

Kittanning

LEECHBURG

New Bethlehem

NEW KENSINGTON WEST

Saltsburg

I also want the area where I grew up:

Clarion

Cooksburg

Strattanville

Knox

Plus lets get some of my favorite vacation spot:

Erie North

Erie South

I also will want the Aerial photos of the above maps from the Aerial CD:

Not all of Pennsylvania is yet available. Email me for details about the aerials you need

Vandergrift

Avonmore

Kittanning

LEECHBURG

New Bethlehem

NEW KENSINGTON WEST

Saltsburg

Clarion

Cooksburg

Strattanville

Knox

The 1:100,000 Scale maps cover more area but show less detail:

The areas I am interested in are:

Indiana

Erie

Pittsburgh East

You could also add your family farm, favorite hunting and fishing spots, camps etc.

I count a total of 27 maps and aerial photos. You can see that your choice of 35 maps should cover all your favorite areas.

Make yourself a Map Reference CD

As my collection of maps grew, I found out that I needed an
easy way to keep the most needed maps handy. My answer was to
create a custom Map Reference CD. I copied all my maps to this
CD. These included:

1:24,000 Scale USGS Topos of my area (with viewer).
4 1:24,000 Scale USGS Topos stitched together.
1:100,000 Scale USGS Topos of my area.
1:250,000 Scale USGS Topos of my area.
Aerial photos of my area (with viewer)
1:62,500 Scale USGS topos of my area.
PA State county road maps in PDF format.
The GNIS PA database and viewer to get coordinates of an area.

All of these fit on a 700MB cd. After making a master CD. I made
a working copy. I can take this one cd anywhere and always have a
backup if one gets lost or destroyed. I can use the CD in a laptop
with a GPS.
