Halloween is my favorite holiday. I like the fall and the changing of the seasons (however, I hate winter). We
just had our annual
Harvest Party and it was a blast.
Our D&D game is going really good and the players are waist deep in monsters. Currently they're slogging
through an ancient, creepy crypt and fighting all kinds of undead -- perfect for Halloween. We've doing really
good at banging out a game almost every week. This has allowed the characters to advance really quick -- they're
almost to fifth level. And it looks like we'll have a game this coming Sunday, which, incidentally is
World Zombie Day.
I decided to pass on the
Digital Insider this month. Maybe when it has more features (or at least ones I can use) or better articles, I might subscribe.
November has a few books coming out. We have
Martial Power. This is a cool book for Fighters, Rangers, Rogues and Warlords. Currently, we only have a Ranger in the group
(Dakota), so there might be something there for him. Also, Dan is playtesting the
Barbarian. Check out his character on the FR Bio page. I'm not really interested in Draconomicon I, so I probably won't
pick it up.
A couple of 3pp books from Mongoose look interesting. First, we have the
The Quintessential Wizard. Now maybe Justin will have some fore feats to choose from ;) Also, we see the
Adventurer's Equipment Guide come out next month. "Covering a range of items from the armoury and specialised herbs, to clothes and mechanised
gadgets."
