Well I got Martial Power in the mail the other day and I had a chance to flip through it.  Overall, there's a lot of new crunchy bits for martial characters.  Fighters have two new builds -- one that likes to get hurt (Battlerager) and the other is able to use two weapons (Tempest).  The ranger gets one new build -- the Beastmaster gets an animal companion.  The rogue also has two new builds -- the Aerialist looks to be 4th editions answer for the Acrobat and the Cutthroat is pretty much what the name implies.  Finally, the Warlord also has a couple of new builds -- the first build (Bravura) is more self-centered than other Warlords and the second build (Resourceful) seems to be more of a team player (moreso than other Warlords).  The last section of the book has some new feats.

 

I'm still waiting on my Quintessential Wizard book.  I've read a couple of quick reviews on ENWorld and so far it looks good.  I'm hoping its not as broken as 3rd editions Quintessential Wizard.

 

Next month we see some interesting books.  From WotC we get Manual of the Planes.  I'm actually really looking forward to this book as I'm curious about the new cosmology layout.  On the heels of QW, Mongoose is releaseing Quintessential Fighter.  I'm not sure I'll get this right away as Martial Power just came out.   Fantasy Cartographic is releasing a new class book called "The Martialist."  Apparently, the Martialist is an expert in unarmed combat and he is not a monk or ninja clone.  A preview can be found here.
