Braided Line Knot

This knot has been thoroughly tested and proven to be one of the best for use with braided lines. The Palomar knot is another good knot to use for braided lines.

Step 1

1. Run a double loop through the eye of the hook or lure.

Step 2

2. Loop around the end of the line and the standing part of the braided line, 8 times, passing the doubled end through the loop adjacent to the hook eye.

Step 3

3. Tighten the knot with a steady, even motion without hesitation. Moistening the line coils before tightening will aid the tightening process and prevent line damage.  Trim the double loop and the end of the braided line, leaving tag ends 1/8" - 1/4".
