Must see TV!
Here's a link to a blog called "Notions by Rachel".  Watch the video of she and her son, Oliver, meeting for the first time.  It's magical.

Rachel is a good friend of mine who lives in Missouri.  God put her in my life during some of the darkest times of our adoption process.  (Times I never thought would end!)  God knew Rachel and I would be just right for each other and He brought us together through the Holt Forum.  Rachel, I can't tell you enough what an honor it is to be on this journey with you.

Just a thought about AJ's foster mom....
I can't imagine what a wonderful woman she must be!  She has fostered 75 babies for Holt and AJ will be her last (due to her age)- she is going to retire.  Today we finished shopping for gifts to give to the people who touch our lives while in Korea.  We bought AJ's foster mom a wristlet from Pendleton wool.  It is patterned after a Native American blanket.  I think it is lovely and very American.  We are also giving her some hand and face cream form Origins.  Foster Dad is getting an Oregon T shirt and a picture book about Portland.  We also have lots and lots of edible yummies to pass around.  It's going to be fun playing Santa Claus.  Still, I have a feeling that no matter what I give to AJ's foster mother, it will never be close to what she is giving me; the gift of a bouncing, beautiful, emotionally healthy boy.  I have so much love and respect for her and I hope that somehow, even with the language barrier, I can express my gratitude to her.  Kahmsamnida, Omma!

Ahn-yong-ha-seyo!
Well, finally...  After months of messing around, I have learned to use the site builder and our website is open for business.  Actually, there isn't any 'business' per se,  just the ramblings of a couple of kids, wildly in love with each other, their son, and their dog.  I hope you enjoy reading about us as we make our journey to South Korea to bring our baby home forever.

So, while we expected it, it was still frustrating to deal with commenters who said things like, “I thought this was a blog about parenting, what’s with all this race stuff?” When Anti-Racist Parent launched, I wrote about how, contrary to popular belief, racism is a parenting issue.~Jason Sperber of Rice Daddies
