Horrorclix and Mage Knight,
especially Mage Knight Dungeons are games with their rules online and lots of other online support. Some figures will lend themselves better to the horror and fantasy genre than others but there you have
it. You can even mix and match with true Horrorclix and Mage Knight figures. Speaking of which, any Horrorclix or Mage Knight figures can be used in many of the
same (non-Marvel specific) alternate games listed below as well as in regular Heroclix gaming.
Any number of Role-playing Games,
especially of the Super Hero genre but others as well. Again, different figures
will lend themselves to different genre to various degrees. If you don’t have
a commercial set of rules, there are many available online for free, just check my web page.

Heroscape, especially the
new Heroscape: Marvel Heroes. All you need are the stat cards, and/or
Heroscape tiles, or other hex maps (or even use standard Heroclix / Horrorclix / Mage Knight Dungeons maps). I have seen unofficial cards for comic book superheroes before on Heroscape boards but I will bet the official
Heroscape: Marvel Heroes cards will be available online in some form soon enough.
Any number of tactical / table top / skirmish
/ war games in multiple genre. Same comment about figures lending themselves
to different genre. Sci-Fi genre games might be the easiest to use them with
but there are those fantasy and current modern figures as well.
Marvel Battle Dice, the rules,
figure stats, mat, powers list and “dice rules” are all available on their web site (hurry, it’s shutting down) www.marvelbattledice.com . Your clix will not fit inside your dice
but the die used are d6 and your figs can be the same Marvel characters the game uses.
Battleball / Blood Bowl
(feel free to insert Mage Knight or Horrorclix figs too), using Heroclix rules or the rules of the games fore mentioned. A theme team of supers would fit either game’s world.
A limited number of board games will easily
be enhanced using your Heroclix (or other clix) as pawns, and/or markers. Check
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype=game&sortby=category&categoryid=116&catname=Comic+Book%2FStrip for examples of board games in the superhero genre (or others) and replace those cardboard
stand ups or generic pawns with your favorite and/or appropriate clix figures.
Heroclix Chess, you can build different
themed sides. Marvel vs. DC, Heroes vs. Villains, etc.
