The purpose of  the Raritan Valley Choral Society is to:

  • Enjoy the art of choral singing and performances.
  • Increase knowledge of this art both personally and in the community.
  • Enjoy the fellowship of other singers.
  • Grow and improve both as individual singers and as a group.
  • Strive for excellence in whatever music we perform.
  • Perform with other musical organizations who also strive for excellence.
  • Increase the awareness and appreciation of live choral music within the community.
  • Work with other organizations who also share our goals.
  • Share, when feasible, the profits gained from our performances with charitable or other non-profit organizations

Concerts are made possible, in part, by  funds from the New Jersey State Council of the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and administered by the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission (SCC&HC) through the State/County Partnership Local Arts Program.  Funding has also been provided, in part, by a grant from the SCC&HC endowment through the SCC&HC Mini-Grant Program.
