Don Kalbach has been associated with the Raritan Valley choral society for many years. He has served as interim director and sings with the Riverside Quartet and the Riverside Singers as well as in the bass section. He is currently assisting the chorus as rehearsal accompanist.

After graduating from college in 1960, Don was a public school teacher for more than six years. He then went to Silver Burdett, in Morristown, as a music editor, helping prepare music textbooks for the classroom. He is retired now, but still occasionally does freelance work for Silver Burdett.

Don is organist/choir director at the Congregational Church in Bound Brook, as well as a member of the handbell choir there. Occasionally, he sings with Crescent Avenue Concerts and the Central Jersey Concert Opera Society. He also plays viola in the Somerset Valley Orchestra, as well as being its manager. Don has taught at Raritan Valley Community College and at St. Elizabeth's College, Convent Station. He has been director of men's choruses, women's choruses, mixed choral groups, church choirs, bands, orchestras, and handbell choirs since 1959.
