Emily Bengels graduated from Bryn Mawr College and has a master's degree from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. She is
currently finishing up her second master's degree . After teaching world languages (Spanish, French and ESL) for 13 years,
she recently switched to teaching middle school Gifted and Talented students at Readington Middle School. She continues
to teach Spanish at RVCC and private piano students in the Hunterdon area..
Emily has been music director and accompanist for shows at the Somerset Valley Playhouse, the Edison Valley Playhouse,
and most recently with Clinton's new Clinton Area Stage Troupe. She enjoys composing and has won the Arline Diamond Music
Award by the Long Island Composers' Alliance. She has taught instrumental music, musical theater, and improv comedy at the
Summer Institute for the Gifted for several summers. She is a former principal violist with the Somerset Valley Orchestra.
