Be aware of anyone in the neighborhood that does not appear to belong
there: odd behavior, the person's clothing, ball caps, insignia, facial hair, eye-wear -- look at the hands, are they
carrying anything?
Watch
for out of place vehicles & their color, stickers on bumpers or windows, license tags.
Anything
that will help Richmond Police get the bad guys is appreciated. Be
especially mindful of homes that are for sale or rent.
Call
911 if you see ANYTHING suspicious! Once it's reported to the police, then contact Liz Turner
for an alert message to go out on our neighborhood e-tree.

In April, 2007, 22 volunteers were trained for both
auto and walking patrol. As of September, we generally seem to have patrols by pedestrians with little to no particpation
in vehicular patrol. The vehicular portion of Rosedale's Neighborhood Patrol is therefore dissolved.
The
Walking Patrol consists of dog walkers, joggers, folks who walk for leisure, parents pushing strollers, etc.
This team is unscheduled, simply doing what they do naturally, with a vigilant awareness to their surroundings.
Please carry a cell phone or pad of paper & something to write with, if possible, in case you need to make a report
to the police.
While everyone is welcome to be on the Neighborhood
Patrol Walking Team, for safety reasons no one should take this on without first taking the training offered by the Richmond
Police Department.
