About "DAR"

Hello, you can call me "DAR" I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before relocating to Vermont in July of 2006, I spent some time living in Florida and Tennessee. My interest in photography began many years ago. I am a very "artistic" person and am blessed to have the God given talent for capturing beauty all around. I have been very fortunate over the years to capture some incredible memories! I enjoy shooting a variety of subjects. I am not limited as to who, what, or where I shoot. Given the opportunity, I prefer to shoot in the "great outdoors" Natural occuring backdrops and lighting are the best kind. Because of this, most of my work is done on location! I love to be able to tell a story with my photos and finish them off with a creative flair. I see photography as an "art form" hence I refer to myself frequently as a "photo-artist" and at other times, a "photo journalist". Before advancing to the "digital world" I enjoyed processing my own B/W photos! Color is great but some subjects are incredible in B/W. Seeing in B/W was a gift and came natural to me because of being a radiologic technologist. For years now, I deal daily with images in B/W and everything in between. So, on that note, photography is not my livelihood but my passion! I love it and enjoy sharing the beauty I have captured through the lens of the camera! It also brings me great joy and satisfaction to be able to capture great memories for you! I do a variety of things. Since residing in Vermont I have been able to launch off my "Aimed at New England" series, beauty at its best in the northeast! I have a collection of original photos from all over the Northeast available for purchase. There are endless opportunities in this part of the country. I am also available for hire for a variety of photographic services. My interests besides photography include sports,music,art, nature and traveling.
