This is a crucial time in Congress. With the Patraeus report out and the
administration having announced cuts of some of the "surge" troops serving in Iraq (which amounts to just a few brigades),
now is the time to let our legislators know we want them to vote to cut additional war spending, end this occupation and bring
our troops home.
Since the illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq, Jihadism has increased around
the world. Violence creates violence. It also creates lifetime enemies. No one likes to be occupied.
No one wishes to witness the the kind of violence that has increased in Iraq since the U.S. occupation. Our
troops have paid the price of a bad decision with their lives. The Iraqi people have paid that price with high civilian
deaths, casualties and fear.
We're all human beings, together. Once you think of other people as different,
you create more differences, isolation and hatred. We are all together in the desire for peace. We can
make our voices heard, and we can make a difference.
Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy
if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people living for today...
Imagine there's
no countries, It isnt hard to do, Nothing to kill or die for, No religion too, Imagine all the people living
life in peace...
Imagine no possesions, I wonder if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of
man, Imagine all the people Sharing all the world...
You may say Im a dreamer, but Im not the only one, I
hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one.
