The holidays are upon us, and the shopping madness begins. There's the Christmas cards, gifts, and parties, but have you tried to write each day? My goal is to finish that novel, to do so, I need to stay in this chair.  I'd rather relax and go shopping, but writing is my passion.  Once you realize you're a writer, it fully consumes you with a fever of sorts, one that only other writers can attest too.  As far as travel and fun, I'm already signed up for another writing conference. I will be attending Sleuthfest 2010 in Deerfield Beach, FL in February.  Travel is one of my other loves and yes, I also love my hubby. :)

 

My latest news is that my story "Dog Most Wanted" is on the shelves in A Cup of Comfort for Dog Lovers, II, as of June 10, 2009.  I have also be notified that I sold another story to Cup of Comfort for A Greater World, which will be published in Mid-March, 2010. I've been busy penning Woman's World mysteries, Chicken Soup stories, Cup of Comfort stories and working on my novel. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I sell, sell, sell. The mailman is my best friend lately, I watch everyday for his arrival. Recently, I have lectured at four different FWA writer groups on "How To Write For Chicken Soup."

 

 

 

Mystery, Romance, and Horror (Anthologies, short stories, magazines, non-fiction writing articles and poems.)

 

I retired April 3, 2009 from my job as a personal injury paralegal at a law firm, I've been employed with since 1981. I am also teaching a  Non-Credited Creative Writing course at our local PHCC college and five other writing courses for the Encore Academy at the college. If that is not enough, I also work the election polls as needed. I have ten sales to Chicken Soup for the Soul books with four daily inspirationals for another Chicken Soup book, one sale to Woman's World and two to to Cup of Comfort books. I get my inspiration from the world around us, the people I meet, along with family and friends. If I know you, be fore warned, some part of you may be in one of my stories.

 

Why don't you pull up a comfy chair and grab a simmering cup of herbal tea or coffee and read a good story. As a writer, I want to promote reading especially to our children who are our future.
