Spotty wind
greeted 11 sailors for our first few races but then the breeze filled in and we had a great day for sailing. Congratulations
to John Cahill our November Regatta winner.

2008 Club Championship
What a great morning of racing
we had. 11 boats competed in 12 heats for this year’s championship with the invader from the south, Morgan Dewees, coming
out on top. Morgan won 9 of the 12 heats we ran and was the clear cut winner. Morgan was rewarded with a $100 gift certificate
from Tower Hobbies for his efforts. Second place was claimed by Doug Gunter and Harry Lyle took third. I would like to thank Ron Meicho,
Kent Gibson, John Cahill, Mike Ross,
and Dennis Grace for all of their help and effort in putting the regatta together.

What a wild and windy day. We started with 8 boats but as the wind and waves picked up we lost 3 boats to radio problems.
We were able to get in 8 heats between the gusts. Rod Carr was nice enough to spend some time with us between heats.
He showed us how his sails were meant to be set up and how to align the drafts strips on the sails he makes along with
how to shape his sails properly. Thank you Rod, we all appreciate it!

Series 2008.
We had to cut the racing short due to high winds but we were able to get 10 heats in before we were blown off the lake.

What a fun day of sailing, weather was great and we had wind! If I understand correctly the results reflect the sailor
and not his boat. For those of you unable to join us there was a lot of boat swapping going on highlighted by "No, its the boat
heading for the rocks!"
