TO HOST
NFL PUNT, PASS & KICK COMPETITION Young pro football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their football
skills when the Brandon Broncos host an NFL Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK) competition on Saturday, August 1st , 2009
at 9:00 am. This competition will be held at JC Hanley Park, 3104 S. Kings Avenue,
Brandon. PPK is free and open to boys AND girls ages 8-15. Entry forms are available online at www.nflyouthfootball.com or from www.brandonbroncos.com. Also, become a fan of The
Brandon Broncos on Facebook. The NFL PPK football competition allows youngsters to showcase their talents
in punting, passing, and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy. There are four age classifications: 8-9, 10-11,
12-13, and 14-15 year olds; there are separate divisions for boys and girls. The
age classification is as of December 31, 2009. The top finishers from each of the eight groups at the Local Competition will advance
to a Sectional Competition. The winners at the Sectional Competitions will have
their scores compared with other Sectional Champions; the top four scorers from the pool of Sectional Champions will advance
to the Tampa Bay Buccaneer Team Championship, to be held at a Buc game in November or December. The top four scorers from the first-place finalists in each age division in both the boys’ and girls’
age groups (one from each NFL team) will advance to the national finals. These
32 winners plus one parent or guardian will travel to the finals at an NFL playoff game in January, 2010. All participants MUST show a valid
birth certificate, passport , or other proof of age. All applicants MUST submit a signed parental waiver form (available on Broncos website). Participants may register and compete
in ONLY one (1) local competition; competing in more than one WILL result in the automatic disqualification of that participant. Each participant will be allowed ONE punt,
ONE pass, and ONE placekick as part
of his/her competition. Scores are based on both distance AND accuracy. Participants MUST wear gym shoes (soft sole).
NO bare feet, football/cleats/turf shoes will be allowed. Failure to have proper shoes will disallow participation. |
