FIREHAWK BUILD NUMBER 165

History

Hello!  I'm the second owner.  The first owner ordered the car from SLP through Orr Pontiac in Springfield, MA, and took delivery in early 1999.  He owns a courier service, and put on over 45k a year, all highway miles, traveling back and forth from West Springfield to Boston and Worcester.  He drove the car year-round for two years and in 2001 traded the car in for a 10th Anniversary Firehawk.  I purchased the car in June of 2001 with 92.9 miles.  The first owner and I have kept in touch over the years; we met out on the road when we recognized each other's cars.

In the six years that I've owned the car, I've put on about 49k (roughly 8k/year average), the majority highway miles as well.  I didn't drive it in the winter.  It wasn't garaged.  It was usually on the road between May and November.  On nice days I would take the car to work in Hartford, CT,  about 70 miles round trip, and other various places I worked.  In the summer I took it alot to the beach in New Hampshire and in Maine.  In the spring and fall I go to the Berkshires, on the NY border.  Twice I went to Englishtown, New Jersey for SLP's Customer Appreciation Day, and also to Reading, PA, for the NHRA Nationals .  I also took it all the time to car shows locally in MA and CT.  This car gets alot of attention!!

The exterior pewter color changes depending on the light that the car is in and it goes anywhere from a bright silver to a deep taupe.  It also hides dirt very well compared to black!  The power convertible top is in great condition, and is a snap to put up and down.  The interior is in good condition as well.  I get alot of comments from people that think the car is a newer year than a '99.

As of June, 2007, the car has found a new, loving home in MN...
